Here, I tried to go as close as I could. This will conclude the “true story” part of this presentation.
Our color for today is a deep blue (code #123456, yes this is a real code).
This is the central part of this presentation, entitled “A True Story”, which tells the story, apparently true, of a girl, a pond and a crane. It is not clear what kind of danger the crane was in, but apparently the girl tried to save the crane and, in doing so, fell in the pond, which must have been very deep because the girl did not come back.
Even though it looks like one, this is not a miniature. It is probably around 20-25 feet high. It is also, in my opinion, the nicest sculpture in this exhibition.
Our color for today is another shade of red (code #B0180D).
A few more red-crowned cranes from the presentation made by China.
As a recurrent theme in this exposition, the red-crowned crane, which is a very big bird, is also on the list of endangered species.
Our color for today is a deep red (code #810009).
This is a representation of a red-crowned crane and is part of one of the nicest and most elaborate presentations on the site. It is from China and tells a wonderful and sad story, which I will touch upon when time comes.
I decided to process this image (and the ones that will follow) a little bit more than usual and try to give it a kind of dreamy/painterly look.
Our color for today is a brick red (code #B20000).
